Blood Drive

The American Red Cross says the nation is facing its worst blood shortage in more than a decade. Donations have dropped 10% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you can help the Red Cross build up its supply bank – please consider donating at an upcoming blood drive in Warren.

Access Church will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 1-7p.m. at 26510 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan 48089.

“Hosting a blood drive coincides with Access Church’s core values of giving back to the community,” said Brian Edwards, Senior Pastor. “With a simple blood donation, we have the ability to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, loved one, or neighbor.”

One blood donation can save up to three lives. All blood types are needed, especially types O positive and O negative.

Donors are required to provide a photo ID. Past Community Blood Center donors are also asked to bring their CBC donor ID card. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 years old with parental consent: a form for this is available at redrcossblood.org), weigh a minimum of 110 pounds (you may have to weigh more, depending on your height), and be in good physical health.
