Civic Center South Complex Grand Opening

The City of Warren will celebrate the grand opening of its new Civic Center South Complex on Thursday, October 10th. The new 11,022 square foot building will house a Police Station and Mini City Hall, and will also be the new location of the Maybelle Burnette Branch of the Warren Public Library. Outside of the building, residents can enjoy a new playground, which will be accessible for children with special needs.

In celebration of this milestone for the city, there will be a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th. This will be the public’s first opportunity to see everything that Civic Center South has to offer. During the event, WJR personality Guy Gordon will be broadcasting live on 760 AM from 3-5 p.m. In addition, there will be representatives on-site from 96.3 WDVD and 93.1 NASH FM. Other festivities include a performance by the Lincoln High School Jazz Band and free refreshments from National Coney Island.

Civic Center South is located on Van Dyke Avenue north of 9 Mile, at 23345 Van Dyke Rd.
