“Count Me In Warren!” – The 2020 Census is Here!

***UPDATE LEARN ALL ABOUT THE RESULTS HERE***

Every ten years, the US Census Bureau conducts a count of the number of people living in the United States. This year, the Census Bureau will be conducting that count. The Census is very important in determining many things in our country, such as how many seats each state receives in the U.S. House of Representatives, and how federal funding is allocated for roads, schools, healthcare institutions, and more. So it is very important that everyone in every household in Warren is counted.

This year, April 1, 2020 is the official Census Day. This means that when you are filling out your Census survey, you are to base your counts on who will be living in your home on that date. Although the count is based on April 1st, residents can expect to begin receiving information from the Census Bureau in Mid-March. Once you receive that information, there will be instructions on how to take your survey. This year, people will not only be able to respond by mail, but also by phone and online, making it even easier to participate in the 2020 Census.

So this spring, help your community and help Warren keep its standing as the third largest city in Michigan. Take part in the 2020 Census! Everyone counts!
