Get Ready for River Day

River Day is designed to encourage appreciation and recreational use of the waterways of the Clinton River and Lake St. Clair, and to celebrate the leadership of local citizens, organizations, and communities whose efforts are critical to protecting and enhancing the overall quality of the Clinton River watershed.

River Day is Saturday, June 8th which coincides with Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend and Great Lakes and Fresh Water Week. Events occur throughout the entire month of June and will include, festivals, fishing derbies, fly-tying lessons, clean up events, and naturalist-led hikes.

The Clinton River Watershed Council is holding a logo design contest and encourages local artists to get involved in the promotion of River Day. The winning River Day 2019 logo design will be used on official River Day shirts, event guide and CRWC website to promote River Day. The deadline is April 1, 2019. Click here for contest details.
