Located south of 14 Mile at 32500 Van Dyke, Mexico City serves delicious, authentic, home-style recipes. When you visit Mexico City you are always greeted with a smile and a fresh basket of chips with a variety of their homemade salsas. The inviting atmosphere is festively decorated, with photos of Hispanic stars framed on the wall and cultural music setting the mood.
The restaurant has a very large menu with a variety of options, ranging from nachos to tamales. Some of our personal favorites include the chicken burritos, chimichanga, and tacos, which are available “American style” or as traditional tacos, which some like to refer to as “street tacos”. At lunchtime, the restaurant offers a selection of lunch specials, with large portions, chips and salsa, and a drink included for only $7.99. At dinner, the menu is more expansive, and the portions are even more generous. Some highlights include traditional favorites like Milanesa and Pechuga de Gallo, six different combination platters, and staples like Fajitas and Enchiladas.
Mexico City is open Monday – Saturday from 10:30 AM until 9 PM. In addition to their great weekday lunch specials, they also offer 99¢ tacos on Tuesday evenings and daily specials.
