Michigan Vietnam Veterans Traveling Memorial Wall Comes to Warren

Vietnam Veterans Chapter 154 is proud to bring the Michigan Vietnam Veterans Traveling Memorial to Warren City Hall at the end of this month. The memorial is dedicated to the memory of the 2,654 men and women from Michigan who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the Vietnam War. The Wall provides a place for those who have served to come together in remembrance of their fellow Soldiers, Marines, Seamen, Airmen, and Coastguardsmen. For those who have not served, it sends a strong message that these are more than names on a memorial. These brave souls lived, were loved by someone, and perished in the defense of, and service to, their country. Whatever it may mean to you, let this always be a memorial dedicated to honor and healing. May we never forget the cost of freedom.

The Vietnam Veterans Traveling Memorial Wall will be on display in the atrium at Warren City Hall for one week, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 6. An opening ceremony is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m.
