Recently, MI Warren took a tour of the bakery Sweet Dreams located at 3848 E. 13 Mile Road. Owner Sam Daher showed us around the large space, introducing us to some of the 20 or so employees who bake, cut, stack, and decorate desserts that range from bite-sized treats to towering wedding cakes.
Sweet Dreams was started by both Sam and his brother Mike in Lebanon in 1982. The brothers came to the U.S. in the early 1990s and opened a bakery in Livonia. The current location in Warren opened in 2001. Sam’s says they chose Warren for the size of the facility and its central location.
Sweet Dreams has two other locations in Orchard Lake and Shelby Township but all of their treats are made at the Warren location. There are hundreds of styles of cakes and desserts available in a variety of delicious and innovative flavors.
