This past week in sports, the week of September 13, there were some high and low moments for the high school teams in the city of Warren. The Warren football teams went a combined 4-3 with the winners being the De La Salle Pilots, Warren Woods Tower Titans, Warren Mott Marauders, & the Center Line Panthers
Last week the Fitzgerald Spartans lost their first game of the season in division league play to Marine City with a final score of 41-21, having the Spartans fall to 2nd place in the Silver Division. They have a chance to make up some ground this week as they’ll be taking on Hazel Park, with whom they’re currently tied.
Warren Mott got back to .500 with a 4th quarter come-from-behind win and a final score of 30-27. The Marauders will look to keep things going as they take on Ford II to get above .500 since the 1st week of the season.
