This past week in sports, the week of September 20th, we are almost to the middle of the fall season for high school sports in the city of Warren.
The Warren football teams went a combined 3-5 with the winners being the De La Salle Pilots, the Fitzgerald Spartans & the Warren Woods Tower Titans, by default
The De La Salle Pilots continue to win and last week, September 24, took a one-game lead over Detroit Catholic Central and Orchard Lake St. Mary as they defeated OLSM 49-25. This Friday, October 8, the Pilots will be hosting Detroit CC at Wayne State University in a battle for 1st Place
The Fitzgerald Spartans got right back on track with a huge win in league play against Hazel Park who fell to 3-2 while the Spartans Improved to 4-1 and moved into second place in the Silver Division, one game back of Marine City.
