Ale & Eddie’s Taphouse opened their doors over the summer and has quickly become a popular spot around town. Located at 15015 East 13 Mile near the corner of 13 Mile & Hayes, the vast bar, new flooring layout, and delicious menu have attracted droves of people.
This location was the former JP Shakers Bar and was purchased by The Johnny Blacks Public House group, which has multiple restaurants around metro Detroit, from Shelby Township to Lake Orion.
The new owners teamed up with some friends and chefs, and did a total makeover of the building, starting with redoing the entire floor plan layout. The new high ceilings are adorned with chandeliers, the new bar stretches along one wall, and the back of the building now has a garage door that opens up to a new patio.
Restaurant goers also get to try the new menu which includes tapas and small plates. Their “city sliders” and “samiches” will fill you up, plus their entrees include healthy choices like salmon or perch and a Santa Fe Rice Bowl.
What goes better with some great food than a well-crafted cocktail? The cocktail menu includes a Blackberry Bourbon Smash, Mango Jabenero Margarita, and of course, there’s a great wine list and draft beers.
While everyone has been enjoying the food and new atmosphere, there’s a plethora of televisions aligned throughout the entire restaurant that play all the most popular games in season, from NFL to NHL.
And if all these brand-new features aren’t enough, Ale & Eddies just won the 2022 award for Best Bar in Macomb County from The Metro Times. Congratulations, Ale & Eddie’s!
