DEATH AND LIGHTHOUSE OF THE GREAT LAKES

In the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, losing one’s life while tending to a Great Lakes lighthouse wasn’t an unusual occurrence. The Miller Branch Library will be hosting Dianna Stampfler, author of Death & Lighthouses of the Great Lakes: A History of Misfortune and Murder, on Thursday, July 21, at 6 pm for an amalgamation of true crime details, media coverage, and historical research which brings these stories to life… despite the deaths of those featured.

Registration is required; please register online here or call the Miller Branch at 586-751-5377. This event will take place in the Warren Community Center’s Cafeteria, down the hall from the Library.

The Arthur Miller Branch Library is located at 5460 Arden in the Warren Community Center (between 14 Mile and Chicago, west of Mound). For more information, call (586) 751-5377.
