Free COVID-19 Testing for Warren Residents

The City of Warren is once again offering free COVID-19 testing to its residents. This Tuesday, August 11, drive-thru and walk-up testing will take place at the Owen Jax Recreation Center. This is a new location for the testing, which has previously taken place at City Hall. Testing is available for free to all Warren residents, even if you are not experiencing symptoms.

This program is in partnership with WSU, WSUPG, and the Macomb County Health Department. Nasopharyngeal or nasal swab testing will be offered, which will tell you if you currently have the virus. Although the test is free, you must RSVP online here.  Once you are registered, you must also take a short survey by texting Macomb Cares to 483-55. If you are unable to sign up online, simply call the Mayor’s Office at (586) 574-4520 to register. If you are unable to take the survey by mobile phone, a representative will help you on site the day of the test.

COVID-19 testing will take place from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11 and there are time slots available every 15 minutes. Testing is limited to 200 residents, so make sure you sign up right away! If you can’t make it on Tuesday, the city hopes to host additional Mobile Testing events in the future.

Owen Jax Recreation Center is located at 8207 E. 9 Mile Road in Warren. For more information on this program, visit the City of Warren’s website here.
