Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!
During the second and third weekend of January 2020, Little Door Theatre brings Williams Shakespeare’s most legendarily tragic tale of revenge to the City of Warren.
When Danish prince Hamlet discovers his uncle Claudius murdered the king (Hamlet’s father) to seize the throne and marry Hamlet’s mother Gertrude, he sets forward a chain of events that involves intrigue, treachery, and espionage.
In its fourth season, LDT presents a cast of new faces along with company regulars. Included among them: Daniel Drobot (Hamlet), Dennis Kleinsmith (Claudius), JM Ethridge (Gertrude), Andrew McMechan (Ghost), Danielle Peck (Horatia), Maggie Bickerstaff (Ophelia), John Arden McClure(Polonius), Mat Pecek (Laertes), Tyler Bickel (Rosencrantz), Allison Megroet (Guildenstern).
The production is directed by Little Door founder and artistic director Shannon Hurst, with lighting by Kayley Jozefiak and fight choreography by Matt Pecek.
Hamlet runs January 9-12, and 16-19. Performances are 8:00 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15, and can be purchased here. For more information, contact littledoortheatre@gmail.com.
