Help Serve Those in Need at Warren City Hall this Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, ““Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.” Each year, the third Monday of January is recognized as Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a national day of service. Many refer to this as “a day on, not a day off”. People are encouraged to help their community and serve in some way that day.

This year, MLK National Day of Service is being recognized on Monday, January 20, 2020. Here in the City of Warren, one way that you can serve is by heading to Warren City Hall at noon, where a group, headed by Mayor Jim Fouts, will be packing bagged lunches for people in need. These lunches will be delivered to the Salvation Army who will then make sure they reach people who need them.

Warren City Hall is located at One City Square, north of 12 Mile on Van Dyke. If you have any questions, please call the Mayor’s office at (586) 574-4520.
