This past week in sports, the week of September 6, had some high and low moments for the high school teams in the city of Warren. The Warren football teams went a combined 3-3 with the winners being the Eastpointe Shamrocks, Fitzgerald Spartans & the Lincoln Abes.

First-year head coach Juwan Shakespeare and the Fitzgerald Spartans are tied for first in the Gold Division going 3-0. The team is lead by Senior Tre West, who plays both sides of the ball plus special teams, and his brother Troy West who has been dominating each week.
