People that live, work, and play in Warren will soon have some new restaurants to dine at near 12 Mile & Mound. In the near future, the intersection will be home to four popular fast-casual restaurants, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Panera Bread, Beyond Juicery & Eatery, and Detroit Wing Company. This is the first Warren location for all four of these businesses. Learn more about each of them and their new location below.
Jersey Mike’s Subs: Jersey Mike’s has been serving authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs on freshly baked bread since 1956. Each sub is made to order with premium meats and cheeses sliced on the spot. The chain started in the seaside town of Point Pleasant, N.J. and now has over 2,000 locations nationwide. The Warren sub shop will be located in the former Lenny’s Grill & Subs location in the Heritage Village shopping center at 5773 Twelve Mile Rd.
Panera Bread: Specializing in bread, pastries, soup, sandwiches, salads, and more, Panera Bread will have a new location in Warren near the north end of the Heritage Village shopping center. The restaurant will be located in a newly constructed building in front of LA Fitness at 30093 Mound Rd. This business originally began in 1987 in St. Louis with the dream of “putting a loaf of bread in every arm”. To this day, the business still prides itself on serving cookies, pastries, bagels, and a range of breads that are freshly baked daily. They also take pride in serving clean food, with carefully selected ingredients void of 96 artificial preservatives and additives. In addition to food, Panera’s menu also includes a wide variety of coffees, teas, and smoothies.
Beyond Juicery & Eatery: This Metro Detroit based franchise was created by the same family that is behind Vivio’s Food & Spirits, another Warren favorite. Beyond Juicery & Eatery was created by Pam Vivio and Mijo Alanis for diners that are looking for a healthier option. Since opening their original store in 2005 in Birmingham, the company has grown into a franchise with over 30 locations. The new Warren location will be located in the former home of the Donut Factory at 28805 Mound Rd. They will serve award winning smoothies, fresh made-to-order juice, and a variety of food items, including wraps and salads. Beyond Juicery & Eatery plans to open its doors in Warren this summer.
Detroit Wing Company: Detroit Wing Company will be Beyond Juicery & Eatery’s neighbor, also taking up residency in the former Donut Factory location at 28805 Mound Rd. This Eastpointe based chain prides itself in serving a menu that is made entirely from scratch, with 19 signature sauces made from fresh, high-quality ingredients at each of its locations every morning. That menu includes chicken wings, tenders, and thighs, as well as mac & cheese, French fries, poutine, chili, and more. They even offer homemade cheesecake for dessert.
