RAISING READERS – PRE-LITERACY KITS

The Arthur Miller Branch of the Warren Public Library is wrapping up their new literacy program for the youngest of readers with the final month of May. The Raising Readers pre-literacy kits follow the Library of Michigan’s “Ready to Read” program which focuses on the concepts of Talk, Sing, Read, Write, and Play.

For this last month, the Miller Library will have a new take-home kit with a board book to keep, various songs and rhymes, a simple craft, and a sensory toy such as a finger puppet, egg shaker, or scarf, all focused on a different theme. The theme for the Raising Readers kits for May is Spring.

For ages 0-2. Supplies are limited; registration is required. Please register online at warrenlibrary.net or call the branch at 586-751-5377.

The Miller Branch Library is located at 5460 Arden in the Warren Community Center (between 14 Mile and Chicago, west of Mound). For more information, call (586) 751-5377.
