This year, it is more important than ever to support local businesses. That’s why Macomb County has launched the #ShopLocalMacomb program. Now through December 6, 2020, when you go to small businesses in Warren and other cities throughout Macomb County, you could be entered to win a $150 gift card! Plus, that business could win a $1,000 grant! It’s all part of the #ShopLocalMacomb program, presented by Macomb County and First State Bank. Here is how you can participate:
1. Snap an image of you shopping (either in-person, curbside, or online) with a local retailer, grabbing a takeout meal from your favorite spot, or leaving a positive Facebook or Google review
2. Submit your entry on MakeMacombYourHome.com
3. Share on your Facebook or Twitter account using the hashtag #ShopLocalMacomb
Once you follow those three steps, you will be entered to win a $150 gift card from First State Bank. Also, the business that you patronized will automatically be entered to win the $1,000 grant. The winners will be randomly selected on a Facebook Live event on Monday, December 7th at noon.
Macomb County has made it easier for you to shop and dine with locally owned businesses throughout the county with an interactive map that you can see here. This map will even allow you to search by business category, to help match you with a business that has exactly what you need.
