Vivio’s II in Warren

Some days, one of us at the office craves pub style mussels or a Dinty Moore sandwich. But who wants to drive all the way to Eastern Market during the lunch hour? The good news is: We don’t have to!

Vivio’s II on 12 Mile, west of Ryan, offers a few dishes served by the downtown location … but sibling owners Mijo & Steve Alanis decided a different location required different offerings. “With the downtown location, they’re geared more toward sandwiches, dishes they can make faster,” as told by Vivio’s II general manager Beau. “[In Warren], we focus more on the dinner aspect, like pizzas. But, our mussels are the same, and some of the handhelds, like the corned beef, which is from Groebel’s.”

The craft beer selection is another unique aspect of Vivio’s II. “I expanded our draft line to about 28 choices now. We try to keep the focus on Michigan brands as much as we can.” In fact, the restaurant provides its own house brew Vivio’s Pale Ale, a collaboration between Vivio’s II and Warren’s own Kuhnhenn. It is often described as ‘Brut New England Pale Ale’.” Daily lunch & dinner specials change frequently, with offerings like the Submarine Pizza & Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos (both pictured) making occasional appearances.

Vivio’s II is located on 3601 Twelve Mile Rd, west of Ryan Road. To see their menu, visit the website www.vivioswarrenmi.com. Or call (586) 576-0495 to learn about the daily specials.
