This holiday season Warren’s First Responders teamed up with Meijer to make the holidays a little brighter for local children. The Michigan based business reached out to Warren Police Officers and Firefighters for their Shop with a Hero program. This program pairs underprivileged children with their own hero to help them shop for Christmas gifts for themselves and their families. Dozens of kids filled the toy aisles at Meijer picking out all of the gifts they were hoping to see under the tree this year. Thanks to Meijer and its generous donation of $4,000 per department, those hopes became a reality. Hearts and holidays of both the kids and the heroes were happier, thanks to this great community event.
